REALTOR CARAVAN GUIDELINES

GILLESPIE COUNTY BOARD OF REALTORS®


1. REALTOR® Caravan will be held the 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesday of each month. All participants will meet at the office of the Gillespie County Board of REALTORS®. The Caravan will leave promptly at 8:30 AM. The last scheduled office of the year will determine any caravans for December.

2. Only Exclusive Right to Sell or Exclusive Agency listings may be placed on caravan, (No open or “co-exclusive” listings are allowed.) Any REALTOR®, whether a member of the Gillespie County Board of REALTORS® or any other Board, may place a home on Caravan. Only improved properties will be included on any caravan, i.e., commercial buildings, homes, etc.

3. Regular caravan includes all properties within the City Limits of Fredericksburg and no more than 2 miles from the city limits. The following subdivisions are within the 2 mile limit and may be scheduled on regular caravan:

4. Any licensed Real Estate person may attend caravan, whether a member of the Board or not.

5. The office responsible for scheduling caravan will rotate at 2-month intervals. The MLS Committee will set up the schedule for offices to handle scheduling.

6. The scheduling office will determine for any one caravan the following: the total number of homes; the number of homes allowed per office; the deletion of any homes; the direction of homes on country caravan and the cancellation of caravan.

7. It is the responsibility of the listing office to submit a property for scheduling on caravan by 12:00 Noon on the Saturday preceding the Tuesday caravan. The listing office should submit the MLS#, address, price, listing office and order of preference of homes they wish to submit to the scheduling office. (Some homes submitted may not be accepted). All listings submitted after the 12:00 deadline on Saturday shall be resubmitted for the next Caravan.

8. The listing office should have a representative at the property to be shown.

9. Country caravans shall be held no less than the 5th Tuesday, but may be scheduled by the scheduling office more often.

10. Properties outside of the 2-mile limit may be submitted as an Open House following the scheduled caravan.

11. The MLS Committee will meet annually no later than December 1 to make any changes in these guidelines and name the scheduling offices for the next year.
